Derby College Group (DCG) are seeking a High Needs Funding Lead to coordinate all aspects of High Needs funding and Adult and Apprenticeships ALS income. The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused High Needs Funding Lead to coordinate all aspects of High Needs funding and Adult Learning Support income for Adult and Apprenticeship learners. This role ensures accurate data reporting for Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and High Needs students, working closely with the Head of SEND, Local Authorities, and the MIS team. You will manage Learning Support Administrators, oversee funding claims and audits, and ensure student needs are correctly reflected in ILRs. This is a key role in ensuring the effective delivery and reconciliation of High Needs funding.

About You

You have proven experience managing High Needs Funding, with a strong understanding of relevant funding rules and compliance. Detail-focused and analytical, you’re confident in financial reporting, audits, and using data systems to support funding claims. You can effectively manage resources to meet income targets and have experience working with external partners such as Local Authorities and SEND teams. You will be experienced in providing training to staff in understanding the High Needs funding mechanisms, and how to access support for students.

You hold a Level 3 qualification in Business Management (or equivalent).  You will also hold a SEND-specific qualification or be willing to work towards one.
