Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting a passionate and experienced educator to join our growing Academy of Professional Education, Training and Development. This exciting role supports the delivery of Initial Teacher Education programmes from Level 3 to Level 7, helping shape the next generation of teachers. The Opportunity
You will support trainee teachers in developing their knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours through innovative delivery and assessment. The role includes contributing to quality assurance and enhancing teaching, learning, and assessment strategies to ensure excellent outcomes and progression. Drawing on your pedagogical expertise and recent sector experience, you’ll deliver engaging learning that reflects the current demands of teaching roles in further education and training.
You will deliver across:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training
- Certificate in Education
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE, Post-14)
- Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship

About You
You’ll be a qualified teacher with significant experience, (meeting UOD requirements of a minimum of five years) in the post-14 education and training sector. Confident in applying pedagogical theory to practice, you’ll have a successful track record of supporting student achievement. Strong interpersonal and time management skills are essential, along with IT proficiency. Experience in remote delivery, tutoring, and using technology-enhanced learning tools would be an advantage.
