Level 3 Animal Care teacher – Maternity cover until June 2025
Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to join our excellent Level 3 Animal Care department at Broomfield Hall. This is a great opportunity to deliver high quality, inspirational teaching that encourages students to reach their full potential. This position 7.4 hours, one day a week on Thursdays, on a fixed term maternity cover post till June 2025.
The Opportunity
You’ll be required to participate in the resourcing and preparation of the course delivery and assessment, undertake course administration and internal quality assurance. You will be involved in student progress and achievement, set and review academic targets, and provide pastoral support. You’ll participate in course-related trips, recruitment of students, open days and information evenings and supporting the work experience that learners undertake as part of their course. About you
You’ll will have proven experience of providing outstanding support for students, with flexibility, multitasking ability, and dedicated to student achievement and quality. Up to date knowledge and experience of small animal health and animal husbandry including the handling, feeding and behaviour of animals is essential. It is desirable that you’ll have experience of teaching and delivering C&G Technical in Animal Management at Level 3 and up-to-date industry CPD and experience is a requirement.
