The Opportunity

Join our dynamic team to support the teaching of relevant subjects, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment. You'll be responsible for the safe storage, preparation, and disposal of chemicals and materials, including hazardous substances. Additionally, you'll prepare for class practical activities, clean equipment, and provide professional guidance to lecturers and students. Your role will also involve contributing to the design and maintenance of specialist resources and developing new practical activities. About You

You are a flexible and resourceful individual with strong organisational skills and a solid foundation in arboriculture. With experience in technician work at secondary schools or colleges, you bring a strong understanding of Health and Safety and First Aid, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.  You are confident working outdoors in all weather conditions and possess the physical stamina and resilience required for manual arboricultural tasks. Your practical skills are supported by industry-recognised qualifications including Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Manually Fed Wood-Chipper, Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting, and Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Small Trees up to 380mm.
