Electrical Engineer | Shift Based

We are recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. This role will support proactive/preventative maintenance of our manufacturing equipment, services, utilities, and improvement projects and provide support to reactive breakdown maintenance as required.

The ideal candidate could have either completed an engineering apprenticeship or have relevant engineering qualifications with proven manufacturing or industrial experience. Additionally, a good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment. 

Pay rate: £51,629.64 per annum (Inclusive of Basic rate, shift & disturbance allowance) + monthly production bonus 

Shift pattern

  • Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 6am-6pm
  • Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday - 6am-6pm, Wednesday, Thursday - 6pm-6am
  • Week 3 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 6pm-6am
  • 7 days off

What would you be doing as an Electrical Engineer:

  • Proactive and preventative maintenance
  • Reactive breakdown maintenance
  • Continual improvement projects
  • Ownership and development of specific production line maintenance
  • Supporting and engaging with lean manufacturing techniques

Key skills and experience required:

  • Experience in using CNC machinery
  • Edge polishing machines
  • Extraction plants
  • Knowledge and experience of Siemens s7 PLC, PLC, Pilz Safety PLC, and PLC experience would be desirable
  • PUWER experience would be desirable
  • Fault finding, root-cause analysis and corrective actions 
  • Experience of computerised maintenance management systems
  • NVQ Level 3 essential
