About the role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Rail Operations professional to join the team based in Brisbane, QLD. In this role, you will work across a diverse project-based business, acting as an interface in the delivery of services and providing a high level of operational advisory support across a range of internal projects/programs and client assignments.

What you will be involved in:

  • Assisting in delivering and managing the preparation and submission of key deliverables and tasks which might include drafting and developing new standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Acting as an interface in the delivery of services and resolution of project issues.
  • Collaborating with other project team members in a proactive and engaging way, ensuring that members adhere to the client’s values, systems, and requirements.
  • Support with designing training packages.
  • Provide advisory services in the development of Operational Strategies, tools, and techniques.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with our UK based Operational specialists.

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential

  • Railway experience – including writing, changing, and managing operations standards, procedures and processes and working within a SEMS/SMS.
  • Experience of working within Passenger and/or Freight operators.
  • Experience in delivery of operational readiness in large scale rail infrastructure projects and working within Railway legislation, regulation, and safety systems.
  • Proficient in building positive relationships with senior stakeholders and technical subject matter experts.
  • Strong IT proficiency – including MS Office applications.
  • Highly developed report writing and communication skills.
  • Have familiarity with current industry standards.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in an international market.
  • Exposure to planning or delivery of operational readiness for greenfield or brownfield major railway upgrade programs.
  • An understanding of Rail Simulation modelling.
  • Understanding of RBTNAs and designing training.
