What is the role?

The Legal Assistant will work closely with the Plots team of the IHLD. The place of work will be Northampton reporting to the Company Solicitor/Head of Northampton Plots however work will be undertaken for all Operating Companies across the Persimmon Group.

The role will include:

  • Dealing with variation agreements, freehold reversion transfers, consents, deeds of covenant, and other legal agreements as directed
  • Dealing with miscellaneous legal advice and legal tasks as directed
  • If required, to assist the Plot Sales Team and Legal Manager/Assistant Legal Manager/Conveyancers with plot-related transactions and/or advice during busy periods or as annual leave cover
  • Legal research when required

What we need from you?

  • Someone who is educated to A level (or equivalent)
  • We will consider someone who is working in a legal administration role who would like to progress
  • Personable, motivated and organised individual with experience of working in a busy office environment
  • It is essential you are computer literate, have good social and communication skills and a confident telephone manner
