Pay: Starting at £12.60 per hour, rising to £12.82 after probation, with progression up to £13.30 at your own pace.

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Outreach service in Glasgow, which is a mixture of supporting individuals in their own homes and supporting in the community.  

 

Our dynamic Outreach service currently supports autistic adults in a range of social, learning, and community-based activities, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences. Each person benefits from a personalised programme of support tailored to their unique needs, providing structure, consistency, and, for some, assistance with personal care and daily living tasks.

 

About the Role:

 

As an Autism Practitioner, you will support individuals to achieve their personal goals and live as independently as possible. Your responsibilities will include:

 

·        Developing and implementing personalised support plans.

·        Building positive, trusting relationships.

·        Empowering individuals to make choices using their preferred communication methods.

·        Supporting participation in activities such as local events, day trips, and holidays.

·        Assisting with everyday tasks such as managing finances and maintaining their home.

·        Promoting life skills and providing personal care where required.

·        Partnering with stakeholders to ensure each person’s life goals and aspirations are always at the heart of their care.

Successful Applicants Should

 

·        Hold a full UK manual driving licence.

·        Be flexible to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

·        Previous experience in a care or support setting is advantageous but not essential, full training is provided.
