About the Role

The responsibilities of this role are varied depending on the time of the year and the business need.

 

During the academic year you will:

  • Be part of the Residential Provision supporting the 1095 students who reside on the Hartpury Campus.
  • Be responsible for cleaning the communal areas in the student’s hall of residence as well as bedrooms & bathrooms for our students who are aged under 18.
  • Duties within the communal areas/kitchens will include, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning surfaces, emptying kitchens bins, cleaning kitchen appliances and cleaning of glass & low-level windows.
  • Duties within the student bedrooms will include, dusting, vacuuming, and bathroom cleaning (Toilets, showers, sinks, tiles).

 

During the Summer Months you will work as part of a team:

  • Undertaking deep cleaning of the student accommodation.
  • Supporting the cleaning of rooms for guests who reside on campus, this will include housekeeping duties such as bed making.
  • Supporting the Residential provision to ensure that students bedrooms are prepared in advance of September arrivals, this can include the moving of bedroom furnishing and mattresses.

Occasional weekend work may be required at peak periods, reasonable notice will be provided and time in lieu granted.

 

About You

  • A caring nature and take an interest in the wellbeing of our students.
  • Have a flexible approach and ‘can do’ attitude.
  • The ability to work both individually and part of a team whilst showing initiative.
  • Able to follow instructions from the Residential Cleaning Team Supervisor.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a cleaning role, but this is not essential as full training is provided.
