The opportunity with NRC

Building on our continued success, we are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Program Manager based in Sacramento California, we offer flexibility and hybrid working.

The successful candidate will lead the Rail Systems Engineering Support Program team, working closely with the California High Speed Rail Authority’s Rail and Operations Delivery Branch, Program Management Office, Risk Management Office and Procurement & Contracts Management teams and provide support for the California high-speed rail project that will shape the future of public transportation in California.

The successful candidate will work in the Rail and Operations Delivery Branch of the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Office of Program Delivery.

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

  • Manage and be responsible for sub-contractors and DBE/SBE contracts
  • Responsible for integrating and managing sub-contractor and SBE/DBE schedules with main NRC schedule
  • Lead and have responsibility for program delivery of RSES contract, coordinating with engineering, asset management and system integration function heads
  • Be highly collaborative and able to partner with the client, joint venture, train operator and contractors

Job Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level with a relevant degree/equivalent experience and have a PMP/equivalent project management qualification
  • Extensive experience of project management within railroad/transit environment
  • Have experience of managing multiple contracts simultaneously
  • Ability to work across a multidisciplinary team and establish relationships at all levels
  • Proven experience working with and utilising primavera or similar scheduling programs
  • Experience of managing project budgets and financially astute
