About the role

Network Rail Consulting is seeking a highly organised, proactive and motivated professional to join our regional team, based in Melbourne, as our Team Organiser. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in keeping our regional offices running smoothly and empowering our Australian teams to deliver their best work.

The role spans four core areas of responsibility: Team Support, Technical (IT) Support, Office Management and Finance Support.

In this varied and dynamic position, you’ll work across multiple parts of the business providing high‑quality administrative and clerical support, assisting with IT requests, coordinating travel and accommodation, contributing to HR processes, and ensuring our teams have the resources they need to work efficiently and effectively.

What you will be involved in:

  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, accommodation, training, conferences and meetings;
  • Format project documents in line with NRC brand guidelines;
  • Provide IT support and coordinate resolution of IT/office facility issues;
  • Assist with HR administration including onboarding, mobilisation/demobilisation, and provision of equipment and access for new starters/levers;
  • Handle general office administration, mail, couriers, meeting preparation and office communications;
  • Manage stationery, printing, business cards and office supplies;
  • Ensure all office equipment remains fully functional and maintain up‑to‑date Life/TPD and WorkCover insurance, along with Rail Industry Worker and relevant professional memberships;
  • Use procurement and financial systems to support purchasing activities;
  • Upload invoices for approval and collate financial reporting;
  • Undertake billable tasks during peak periods; and
  • Assist with bid support, CVs and project sheets.

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Strong MS Office capability and general IT skills at an administrator level;
  • Excellent organisation, communication and time‑management skills;
  • Customer‑focused, proactive, and able to multitask and work independently;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Proficient in building positive relationships with people at all levels; and
  • Confidence in providing IT support when required.

Desirable:

  • Recognised qualification in office management;
  • First Aid Certificate and Fire Warden training;
  • Knowledge and experience of records management; and
  • Experience of working in a professional services company.
