About the Role
Are you calm under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for live sports broadcasting? We’re looking for a Production Controller to join our dynamic team in Milton Keynes. This is a 24/7 shift-based role at the heart of our Playout operations, ensuring seamless delivery of live sports content across multiple platforms for SIS and our clients.
As a Production Controller, you’ll be the key decision-maker during live broadcasts—making split-second calls that directly impact service output. You’ll manage multi-service playouts, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain continuity of service in a high-profile, customer-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee automated transmission systems and ensure quality across multiple live services.
- Direct and influence output in line with production guidelines.
- Manage transmission schedules with precision and accuracy.
- Act as the central communication point for data and feed information.
- Operate replay systems, manage archives, and deliver racing footage.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with internal teams for swift resolution.
- Uphold OFCOM regulations and SIS values at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Live broadcast environment and multi-service playout operations.
- Technical Knowledge: End-to-end broadcast chain, IT and broadcast equipment, audio/video troubleshooting.
- Skills: Calm under pressure, excellent attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to work autonomously.
- Bonus: Interest in sports broadcasting—knowledge of horse and dog racing is a plus!
