Curriculum Lead in Maths and English
£36,100 Per Annum
37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30sm to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (1 hour for lunch)
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Curriculum Lead in English and Maths to join our high-performing team. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated educator to take on a leadership role, driving the quality and impact of teaching, learning and student progress within the department.
This role would suit either an experienced curriculum leader or a confident, experienced lecturer with strong leadership skills who is ready to take the next step in their career.
As Curriculum Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day coordination and delivery of English and maths provision, ensuring an outstanding learning experience across all courses. You will manage a team of lecturers and support staff, ensuring all planning, assessment and quality assurance activities are delivered to a high standard and within required timeframes.
You will be responsible for maintaining excellent outcomes for students, supporting curriculum development and innovation, and working collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders. In addition to overseeing delivery, you may also contribute directly to teaching, including both GCSE and Functional Skills English.
Key duties include leading on internal and external verification, promoting a high standard of student behaviour and morale, using data to monitor progress, contributing to quality assurance processes, and supporting the strategic aims of the department.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant degree and a Level 5 teaching qualification (or be near completion), and have a strong track record of positive impact on learner outcomes. Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead and support a team are essential.
