Youth Social Action Apprenticeship

Salary: £19,293 per annum for the first year. Second year the salary will increase to the applicable National Minimum Wage rate (based on age).
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern:

  • Monday and Tuesday: Based at Bishop Burton College (8:30am – 5:00pm)

  • Wednesday and Thursday: Based at Hull College

  • Friday: Based at Bishop Burton College to attend online classes and complete apprenticeship coursework

Are you interested in embedding Youth Social Action (YSA) within your community? 

We’re looking to appoint a highly motivated apprentice with support from the Pears Foundation to work across two colleges in our area.

Apprenticeships are a great opportunity to gain skills knowledge and work in the community at the same time.

In this role you will raise awareness of Youth Social Action (YSA) and increase high quality youth social action opportunities for students within two colleges. You will also raise the positive profile of the colleges through YSA in the local community.

You will need to be qualified to Level 2 in English and Maths and passionate about developing young people and creating opportunities in YSA. You will also need excellent communication skills, the ability to develop good working relationships with students and staff across the colleges, and the ability to work in an inclusive way upholding the principles and values of youth work practice.
