15 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30-5pm and Friday 8.30-4.30pm (1 hour for lunch).

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in English to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by delivering high-quality teaching across GCSE and Functional Skills English.

You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that support learner progression and achievement. This includes maintaining accurate records of attendance and assessments, managing student morale and behaviour, and contributing to the overall quality of the learner experience. A passion for English and a desire to inspire and motivate young people is essential.

The ideal candidate will hold a good honours degree (2:2 or higher), a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, and have teaching experience in GCSE and Functional Skills. We are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge, who can plan lessons matched to clear objectives and departmental schemes of work. Experience of teaching in the further education sector and delivering Edexcel qualifications is desirable.

You’ll bring a proactive attitude, the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues, and strong classroom management skills. A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and maintaining a professional learning environment is crucial.
