Lecturer in Foundation Studies
Salary £28,869 Per Annum
Full-Time 37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Foundation Studies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and development of high-quality teaching and learning experiences for our students.
As a key member of the Foundation department, you will play a vital role in helping learners achieve their potential through innovative teaching, engaging lessons, and supportive pastoral care. You will deliver a range of learning activities, tutorials, and assessments, working closely with learners to ensure progress and success. Your ability to manage behaviour positively, adapt to varied learning needs, and embed inclusive practices will be crucial.
You will be responsible for maintaining course documentation, recording student data accurately, participating in quality assurance activities, and supporting marketing and recruitment efforts. Building strong relationships with students, parents, employers, and external bodies will be essential to the role, as will your contribution to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
Applicants should hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification and possess at least one year’s teaching or training experience. A teaching qualification is desirable, but we welcome applications from those willing to work towards this. Experience delivering relevant units and using digital learning technologies effectively is highly valued. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with a background in supporting learners with additional needs or those with experience in the administration of full-time study programmes.
