Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to students’ futures, while enjoying the flexibility of working term time only?

At Bishop Burton College, we are seeking a motivated and people-focused Work Experience Officer to join our team. This is a highly customer-facing role, where you will work closely with students, employers, and staff to support learners in securing meaningful work placements.

You will play a key role in preparing students for the workplace, ensuring they are placed in the most suitable environment to develop their skills, confidence, and career ambitions. Alongside relationship-building with employers and supporting students, the role also involves accurate data entry and record-keeping, making sure all placement information is kept up to date and compliant.

From liaising with academic staff to visiting students in their placements, every day will be varied, purposeful, and focused on helping young people succeed.

We are looking for enthusiastic, organised, and people-focused individuals who enjoy working in a customer-facing environment and want to make a difference to students’ futures. You may already be working in a college, university, or training provider in a student support, careers, or placement role. Equally, you could be in a customer service, administration, recruitment, or HR position where building relationships and accurate data entry are part of your day-to-day.

You might currently be:

  • Supporting learners or jobseekers in education, local councils, or training providers

  • Working in administration or data-focused roles where attention to detail is key

  • Building employer links or matching candidates to opportunities in recruitment or HR

  • Coordinating volunteers, placements, or training in the charity or community sector

  • Gaining transferable skills in customer-facing roles within retail, hospitality, or service industries

Wherever you are now, if you are highly organised, confident with data entry, and motivated to support students in finding the right placements to succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
