Bishop Burton College is seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer in Equine to join our established and dedicated Equine Department. In this role, you will deliver high‑quality, engaging teaching across a range of equine programmes and support learners as they work towards achieving their full potential. Depending on experience, you may also take on Group Tutor responsibilities, offering guidance and pastoral support to a designated student cohort throughout their time on the programme. You will contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities and employer engagement, while also maintaining accurate records and upholding high standards in teaching, learning and safeguarding. As part of a collaborative team, you will help foster a positive, respectful and ambitious learning environment for all learners.
We are looking for someone who holds a related degree or equivalent qualification, brings relevant industry experience and ideally has at least one year of teaching or training experience, or the potential to demonstrate these skills. You should be confident using learning technologies, committed to delivering excellent teaching and motivated to support young people. It is desirable for applicants to hold the BHS Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship qualification; however, if you do not currently hold this, you must be willing to work towards it, and the College will support your development. Experience delivering units within FE equine programmes would also be beneficial.
