Role: Asset Data Analyst

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday

You will be supporting the delivery of asset strategy and statistical projects, primarily using quantitative data. 

We support agile working, so you’ll be provided all IT equipment to work flexibly between your home and at our Dartford office.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Application of statistical models & techniques; using numbers to solve business problems and identifying patterns with data.
  • Pro-actively find ways of filling information gaps and enriching current information primarily held within the asset management system, and any other system that Moat use.
  • Working with the data to prepare it for complex analysis: re-arranging, re-coding, administrative data, and merging it with data from other sources.
  • Producing and presenting information and data reporting, analysis for stakeholders that may be required across all business functions, liaising closely with the Asset Manager, Sustainability Manager and Senior Asset Systems Co-ordinator
  • Working with Data & Technology to improve the way data is held to effectively report and capture analysis.
  • Helping with programming of planned works programmes, to ensure we deliver the right measures for our homes and cross check against our sustainability and zero carbon strategy, with support from the Asset Manager and Senior Asset Systems Co-ordinator.
  • Supporting with option appraisals of our homes, including the implementation of a suitable model, population of the data to help us analyse the data to inform the outcome of our homes.
  • Co-ordinating and delivering projects through the analysis of data to ensure achievement of the asset management strategy, Sustainability Strategy and Zero Carbon Strategy and action plans associated with these.
  • Producing Power BI reporting and work with the insight team and data team to produce dashboards to allow for proactive asset management.
  • Managing and improving business processes relating to data capture, training staff on these new processes and review the impact and usage on a regular basis.
  • Updating monthly reports including AMG, keeping our Customers Safe and any other reports identified.

 

We're looking for someone who has:

 

  • A good standard of education, particularly numeracy.
  • Proficient use of MS Excel and Power Bi.
  • Good knowledge of data structures including the ability to manipulate and restructure data.
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods and the analysis interpretation and reporting of findings. Strong analytical skills including survey sampling and descriptive statistics.
  • Experience of working or having studied in a social research environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working with Asset Management databases in a housing environment would be advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management and client liaison experience.
  • An understanding customer experience / satisfaction.

 

It is beneficial, but not essential if you also have:

 

  • Thorough understanding of Housing and Moat resident issues
  • Knowledge of databases e.g. SQL, XML
  • An awareness of the wider social housing environment
  • Advanced quantitative methods including regression modelling.
  • An understanding of Moat’s product portfolio
  • Excellent abilities in reporting quantitative research and analysis findings
  • The ability to effectively and independently manage and co-ordinate insight projects.
