Specialist Rugby Union Coach
17.5 Hours Per Week, Monday and Wednesday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 2-4.30pm.
£27,385 Per Annum Actual Salary £12,952.36 Pro-Rata
We are looking for a motivated and experienced rugby coach to join our dynamic Sports Academy team. As a Specialist Rugby Union Coach, you will play a key role in developing male and female rugby players aged 16–18, with the goal of progressing them into higher education and elite-level competition.
You will be responsible for delivering a minimum of 16 hours of rugby training and development per week during term time, ensuring each student receives high-quality coaching tailored to their progression. The role also includes supporting recruitment and talent identification across local, regional, and national levels.
Working closely with the RFU and in line with their Long-Term Development Plan (LTDP), you will act as an ambassador for the College and Rugby Union. You will collaborate regularly with the Director of Rugby, academic staff, and external partners to support students’ athletic and academic performance.
The ideal candidate will hold an RFU Level 2 coaching award (ideally working towards Level 3), have at least two years of experience coaching 16–23-year-olds, and be passionate about both rugby and education.
