£27,432 - £31,771, depending on qualifications and experience
37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30-5pm and Friday 8.30-4.30pm (1 hour for lunch).
Are you passionate about sport and education, and ready to inspire the next generation of professionals? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer/Course Tutor in Sport to join our dynamic team and make a real impact on students’ academic and personal development.
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of engaging and effective teaching, learning and assessment within our Sport department. You’ll also act as a Group Tutor, supporting learners throughout their educational journey. Your duties will include setting assignments, marking work, monitoring student progress, organising educational visits, and maintaining course documentation.
The successful candidate will hold a related degree or equivalent qualification, and ideally a teaching qualification (or be well on the way to achieving one). You should have a minimum of one year’s teaching or training experience and be confident using digital learning technologies to enhance the student experience. A background in the sports industry and experience of delivering units on relevant qualifications would be highly advantageous.
Your ability to motivate and support students from a wide range of backgrounds will be key to your success. You will be personable, proactive and able to demonstrate emotional resilience and professionalism when addressing challenges in the classroom. You’ll also be confident in developing links with employers and engaging in wider college activities, such as open events and promotional work.
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
